Artist’s Statement: I want to make pots that make people smile!!!
Medium: I work with earthenware, stoneware, and porcelain. Currently the bulk of my work is produced in earthenware.
Artistic Resume: I have worked in a variety of ceramic styles including Majolica and high-fired stoneware. Surface decoration and color have always been my passion.
I began studying pottery making in North Carolina in the mid-eighties. I attended classes at Montgomery Tech, Penland School and the North Carolina State Craft Center as well as apprenticing with several state potters.
I have the distinct pleasure of working with my wife, Mary Paul, who is an exceptional artist. We began working together 12 years ago. The collaboration has made my work better!
