Artist’s Statement: I decided to turn my attention to art as a profession about eight years ago. I make baskets because I love the architecture and engineering. The possibilities for color, texture, and form are endless….and I just can’t work flat!
I can’t know what my work will mean to others, but I feel I have been successful if they feel the urge to pick it up.
Artistic Resume: I have learned from other basketmakers. My work has been in shows here and internationally. Mobilia Gallery in Cambridge, Massachusetts, carries my work and I teach at DeCordova Museum.
