Sarah Shepley is a “2008 Art in the Round Contest” participant.
Artist’s Statement: I love book making because I can combine 3D design with 2D design. Adding text to convey an idea that is “echoed” by the form and pattern of the structure is very appealing.
These books integrate elegance and function through a variety of different designs. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and stands on its own as a piece of art.
I have continued to take classes in a variety of different media over the years, from encaustic painting to collographs to quilting. I love exploring different ways of using my artistic Voice.
