Artist’s Statement: I make blown glass vessels using layered, colored glass to depict landscape imagery. I approach my landscape pieces as paintings, so I’ve chosen simple, unassuming traditional vessel forms to carry the images. I love the immediacy of the glassblowing process, the intense concentration required, and the choreography of keeping this fluid material moving in the desired direction.
I discovered a passion for art in an eighth grade art class and have made my living selling my blown glass since 1986.
